Occupational therapy seminar was given to high school students

A seminar was given to high school senior students as part of the “My School - My Future” training program organized by Istanbul Gelisim University Department of Occupational Therapy, IGU Directorate of Public Relations and Promotion, Üsküdar District Directorate of National Education and Anatolian High School named after Bülent Akarcalı.

In the seminar given by Asst. Prof. Gülşah Kınalı, and attended by administrative staff, teachers, students and parents of the Anatolian High School named after Bülent Akarcalı the profession of the occupational therapist and one of the common problems of our age sensory integration practices in autism spectrum disorder were discussed.

In the seminar attended by 3rd-grade students of the Department of Ergotherapy Gizem Dinçer and Kader Güneş Asst. Prof. Dr. Kınalı talked about autism spectrum disorders and determining other common developmental disorders included in this group at school age and the importance of the arrangements made in the schools on overcoming this disorder.

After the seminar, students from Bülent Akarcalı Anatolian High School and students from IGU had the opportunity to chat. Asst. Prof. Gülşah Kınalı was awarded a plaque of appreciation on behalf of Üsküdar District Directorate of National Education and Bülent Akarcalı Anatolian High School
