The skills of women who take care of disabled and disabled people will be supported
The international opening meeting of the European Union (EU) project for disabled women and women who take care of disabled people was held in Istanbul. Within the scope of the project coordinated by Istanbul Gelisim University, while supporting the skills of women who take care of disabled people and disabled people at home, studies will be carried out to ensure their psychosocial and economic independence.
PROJECT COORDINATOR IS IGU
The opening meeting of the “Creativity with Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy” project, which aims at disabled women and women who take care of disabled people at home, was held in Istanbul. Melike Çetin, Research Support Coordinator and Project Manager of Istanbul Gelisim University, moderated the meeting attended by PMI Services from Italy, EPIONI from Greece, Academie Creteil from France and KAIROS from Spain.

Melike Çetin made the following statement as follows about the meeting where the aims and expected effects of the project were introduced.
“Especially in times of crisis, we will help to improve their mental health and well-being by identifying the psycho-social problems experienced by both women with physical disabilities and women who care for disabled people in the family at home.”
The project team will meet again in Zaragoza in February.
