Turkish and international scientists will meet at this congress
Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) will host the International Applied Social Sciences Congress (USBK2020) of which theme is determined as 'sustainability'.
It has been announced that many Turkish and international scientists will come together as part of the 'sustainability' themed congress that will be held on March 12-13, 2020. It is reported that the congress is planned to held annually in a different geography due to communications and collaborations with stakeholders. Asst. Prof. Dr. Hilal Kılıç spoke of the importance of the congress and continued: “We aim to create an interdisciplinary discussion and study platform by bringing together scientists who conduct research in this field with the belief that social sciences as well as technical sciences should be emphasized for the development of our country.”
“WE AIM TO CREATE WORK ENVIRONMENTS”
Director of Istanbul Gelisim University the School of Applied Sciences Asst. Prof. Dr. Hilal Kılıç said: “We aim to present the original academic studies and practices in the field of Social Sciences to the sharing of scientists, to encourage creating new ideas and to create working environments within the framework of collaboration through the International Congress of Applied Social Sciences (IGU-CON USBK).
Kılıç continued her speech as follows:
“It is important to address all economic, social and environmental factors that are closely related to human life with the scientific perspective within the framework of the concept of 'Sustainability'. We aim to discuss one of the important paradigms of the 21st century, the concept of 'Sustainability' under the broad spectrum of applied social sciences and to create awareness by creating consortia at national and international levels.”
“THE IMPORTANCE OF SOCIAL SCIENCE DISCIPLINES INCREASES”
Addressing the importance of examining current developments and conducting studies in the fields of economic, cultural, social, political, technological and informatics, Asst. Prof. Dr. Kılıç said: “The importance of social science disciplines increases in terms of questioning efficient and effective tools. In this context, IGU-CON USBK, which aims to bring together scientists who conduct research in this field with the belief that technical sciences and social sciences should be emphasized for the development of our country, will contribute to qualified and original academic production. In this congress, which aims to form a basis for discussion of questioning and solution searches with holistic approaches, we aim for scientists coming together to conduct national and international studies for the future by evaluating the results obtained within the scope of the congress.”
