IGU has made a very ambitious breakthrough in 2017, making significant investments in its physical capacity, human resources and the possibilities provided to students to become a "Reputable World University".
It had applied for German, British and US accreditation agencies and subjected to the accreditation evaluations voluntarily, including health sciences, sports sciences, social sciences and engineering sciences. As a result, Istanbul Gelisim University has got the most international accreditations in Turkey.
As a result of the quality assurance evaluations, a total of 65 programs of Istanbul Gelisim University were examined in detail by the international experts' committees appointed by organizations such as AQAS, AHPGS, PEARSON, ABET and found to be accredited.
AQAS: Founded in 2002 in Germany and a member of the European Association for Quality Assurance and AQAS is an organization with more than 5,000 auditing programs worldwide. It has accredited training programs in more than 90 German universities. The accreditation it provides confirms that the accredited program meets European standards and principles.
AHPGS: Germany-based Accreditation Agency in Health and Social Sciences (AHPGS) accredited training in health, social sciences and other fields. AHPGS, a member of the European Association for Quality Assurance, has completed accreditation of more than 1,200 programs in more than 120 countries.
PEARSON: is a British institute for international accreditation of educational programs, especially taught in English for foreign students.
ABET: US-based Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) supervises the engineering faculties of universities.
