A New Step in International Cooperation: Bilateral Agreement Signed between IGU and UMFT
Istanbul Gelisim University continues to strengthen its academic partnerships in line with its internationalization vision. As part of this effort, a delegation from the University of Management and Future Technologies (UMFT), operating in Uzbekistan, visited the university.
The meeting brought together IGU Rector Prof. Bahri Şahin and Vice Rectors Prof. Necmettin Maraşlı and Prof. Nuri Kuruoğlu from Istanbul Gelisim University, and from UMFT, Rector Assoc. Prof. Muhammadismoil Mahmudov along with Vice Rectors Prof. Asror Muhamedov, Dr. Bahadır Musametov, and Dr. Bahtiyor Nosirov.
Following the meeting, a bilateral cooperation agreement was signed between Istanbul Gelisim University and UMFT. The agreement is intended to contribute to the development of joint work in academic, scientific, and cultural domains.
Joint Projects and a Vision for the Future
At the meeting, areas of potential cooperation between the two universities were discussed and assessments were made regarding prospective joint projects. The visit also included a tour of the Faculty of Dentistry, the Dental Hospital, and the Central Library, providing an introduction to the university's academic and physical infrastructure.
The signed agreement is expected to lay the groundwork for the implementation of various academic activities, most notably student and academic exchange programs. Both parties aim to develop projects that will deepen academic knowledge-sharing and create an impact at the international level.

Istanbul Gelisim University continues to strengthen its global academic network not simply by increasing the number of international partnerships, but by building high-quality and sustainable collaborations. Partnerships of this kind with universities from diverse geographies contribute both to the diversification of academic knowledge production and to the creation of a broader arena of interaction for students and academics alike.
The agreement signed with UMFT is expected to carry Istanbul Gelisim University's international visibility and academic effectiveness forward by establishing a multifaceted cooperation framework spanning joint research activities and exchange programs.
