Awards from Rector Prof. Dr. Bahri Şahin to students in the 59th Library Week!

Various events were held at Istanbul Gelisim University as part of the “Library Week”, which is celebrated in the last week of March every year. The 10 students who borrowed the most publications from the IGU Library in 2022 were presented their awards by Rector Prof. Dr. Bahri Şahin.

Various events were held at Istanbul Gelisim University as part of the 59th "Library Week", which is celebrated in the last week of March every year. In the ceremony where the students who borrowed the most from the IGU Library in 2022 were awarded, 10 students at the doctorate, master's, undergraduate and associate degree levels were presented with their awards by Rector Prof. Dr. Bahri Şahin. Talking with 10 students, including 2 international students, Prof. Dr. Bahri Şahin touched upon the importance of reading and added the following: “Today we are having students who come from foreign countries and prefer our university. This is a natural consequence of our being an international university. Keep on reading, you will see the benefits in the end."

After the group photo shoot, IGU Head of Library and Documentation Department Ahmet Şenol Armağan invited the students to the library and chatted with them. A conversation was held on the writers that students love in the world and in Turkey, and their interests.
