DESIGN FEST’21 BEGINS

Held with different themes each year by Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Faculty of Fine Arts, Design Festival will be organized with "Digitalism" theme this year. The festival will take place between 5 - 7 May.

Organized by Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Faculty of Fine Arts, Design Festival will have "digitalism" theme. In the statement made by the faculty, “The digitalization process is evolving in an inevitable direction in the fields of design and art on a global scale. The chosen theme, while questioning the concept of the new digital age created by the rapidly developing and changing technology, also deals with the relations of technology, art and design triology with Fine Arts. In this context, the chosen theme aims to be a real indicator of the digital effects of the pandemic process we are in on the fields of design and art”.

"IT WILL PROVIDE MOTIVATION FOR STUDENTS"

Within the scope of the festival, interviews, seminars, workshops and workshops will be organized with the participation of internal and external guests. It is aimed that all students within the Faculty of Fine Arts will put the theoretical knowledge gained from the programs they are affiliated into practice and integrate their field expertise into social life. The festival, in which various social activities are also included in the organization, offers an academic perspective to the new digital age and also aims to motivate students by vitalizing the spirit of fine arts.

ILLUSTRATION COMPETITION

There is also an "illustration" competition in the festival. Not only undergraduate students but also high school and associate students will be able to participate in the competition, which aims to be a real indicator of the digital effects of the pandemic process in design and art fields.
