We are pleased to announce our project CyberShield Innovators has been selected as one of the winners of the Call for Training Proposals 2024, under the EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative. The EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative is a project of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) and is funded by the European Commission. This recognition highlights our commitment to promoting deep tech education and skills development in Europe.
The Call for Training Proposals invited organisations to create innovative courses, training, and skills development programmes aimed at equipping individuals with expertise in deep tech. Proposals had to focus on one of the following key areas: Advanced Computing and Quantum Computing, Advanced Materials, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Robotics, Semiconductors, Clean Technologies, or Immersive Technologies. The aim of the Call was to engage a diverse array of organisations committed to advancing deep tech education, fostering collaboration within the deep tech ecosystem, and developing a skilled, inclusive workforce.
This year, 97 consortia, representing multiple organisations from across Europe, participated in the Call. As a result, 15 projects were selected and received a total funding of EUR 2,203,391.50 to create and deliver their training and skills development programmes.
CyberShield Innovators was presented in consortia with Istanbul Gelisim University and Proficiency Institute and is focused on deep tech training in Cybersecurity. Through this collaborative approach, we aim to drive forward innovation and create a long-term impact on Europe’s deep tech ecosystem.
The project started on 14 October and aims to train 600 individuals by November 2025. Under the Call, the project has received funding of € 146,497.50 to create and deliver this training.
