IGU TTO participated in IDEF 2023

Istanbul Gelisim University Technology Transfer Office (TTO) participated in IDEF International Defense Industry Fair 2023 held at TUYAP.

Istanbul Gelisim University Technology Transfer Office (TTO) participated in IDEF 16th International Industry Fair 2023, which was held at TUYAP on 25-28 July. TTO visited aircraft and drone manufacturers such as TUSAŞ, HAVELSAN, VOLO COMPOSITE, MASTER DEFENCE and YENTE Aviation at the IDEF 2023 Fair. IGU TTO also held a series of meetings that included technical collaborations. In this context; a meeting was held with TAI officials about the Jet Drone Electric Fan Motor Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Project, which received support from the TAI Hangar Campus Program.

Within the scope of the technical cooperation agreement signed with Volo Composite regarding the production of the VTOL Electric Fan Motor Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Project by TAI in partnership/TUSAŞ facilities, and also the support of IGU for the material projects carried out at the VOLO R&D Center, the following subjects were included;

*Co-production with VOLO in the serial production of TUSI-B of Jet Drone and TUSI-B structural materials,

* Using the academic and laboratory facilities of Istanbul Gelisim University in basic research subjects such as the development of materials needed by VOLO.

An information summary was also presented to HAVELSAN about the Cyber Security Projects being carried out at IGU. HAVELSAN General Manager stated in a previous meeting that they would be pleased to evaluate these capabilities of IGU.
