Istanbul Gelisim University Participates in the Launch of the 6th National Culinary Camp

Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) was represented at the launch meeting of the 6th National Culinary Camp, an important nationwide event in the field of gastronomy and culinary arts. The meeting, organized under the leadership of ASOMDER, was attended by Assoc. Prof. Serdar Egeli, Secretary-General of IGU, and Lect. Ibrahim Levent Demirçakmak from the Gelişim Vocational School.

Potential Collaborations Discussed

As part of the launch meeting, IGU Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Serdar Egeli met with Berker Çiftçi, President of ASOMDER (Mengen School of Culinary Arts Alumni Association) and Lecturer at Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University. The discussion focused on culinary education, current sectoral needs, and potential university-industry collaboration projects.

A Sector-Oriented Contribution Approach

During the meeting, participants exchanged ideas on cultivating qualified human resources, expanding applied training opportunities, and developing joint initiatives in the field of gastronomy. Emphasis was placed on the importance of establishing sustainable collaborations with sectoral stakeholders in line with IGU’s educational vision.
