Our Faculty Member Deemed Worthy to Receive Research Grant from TUBITAK

The research project prepared by Asst. Prof. Engincan Yıldız from the Department of New Media and Communication, Faculty of Applied Sciences at Istanbul Gelisim University, has been deemed suitable for support by TUBITAK. Our faculty member is conducting his research abroad within the scope of the TUBITAK 2219 International Postdoctoral Research Grant.

While Istanbul Gelisim University faculty members continue to contribute to science with their original and qualified academic projects, they also increase the visibility of our university in the international arena. Our faculty members, who provide their own academic advancement with these studies, also make significant contributions to their fields. One of the research projects put forward with this vision is carried out by Asst. Prof. Engincan Yıldız from the New Media and Communication Department of the Faculty of Applied Sciences. The research project carried out by Asst. Prof. Engincan Yıldız has won the support of TUBITAK 2219 International Postdoctoral Research Scholarship and this study aims to provide scientific contributions on a global scale.

Asst. Prof. Engincan Yıldız, who was awarded the TUBITAK 2219 International Postdoctoral Research Scholarship, has many significant goals in his research project titled “Anti-immigrant Hate Speech and Applications in the Fight Against Digital Hate: Communication and Dialogue Report”. Asst. Prof. Engincan Yıldız conducts his scientific studies at the University of Vienna within the scope of his research project. With his research, the status of being an immigrant and the factors affecting the integration of immigrants will be examined in many aspects.
