A Cultural Breeze on Campus: IGU's 7th International Student Culture Day Celebrated with Enthusiasm

Istanbul Gelisim University continues to bring the world's cultures together on its campus in line with its internationalization vision. The “7th International Student Culture Day”, organized by the International Students Directorate and now a cherished tradition, was held with great enthusiasm in the Section A Garden on May 21, 2026.

The World Fit into Campus: Nearly 50 Countries under One Roof

The event, organized to allow the more than 12,000 international students studying at the university to introduce their own cultures, was truly a cultural festival. The promotional stands of nearly 50 countries set up in the campus garden took visitors on a tour of the world. The event, which drew strong attendance from students, academics, and numerous guests, was filled with colorful scenes throughout the day.

Colorful Performances and Traditional Flavors

The activities carried out as part of the cultural celebration received unanimous praise from participants. The traditional dance performances and live music shows by students who took the stage throughout the event provided the audience with enjoyable moments, while the vibrant traditional costumes were among the most eye-catching elements of the festival.

Visitors had the opportunity to sample local dishes from different cultures, while the workshops and cultural stands provided up-close introductions to each country’s history, art, and traditions.

Emphasis on Internationalization Vision and Cultural Diversity
