Event titled as ‘Educational Evaluation and Therapy Approaches in Auditory Rehabilitation’ was organized

Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) School of Health Sciences Department of Language and Speech Therapy organized an event named ‘Educational Evaluation and Therapy Approaches in Auditory Rehabilitation’.

Specialist Audiologist and Speech Therapist Seher Yılmaz was the guest of the event organized by the Department of Language and Speech Therapy at the School of Health Sciences of Istanbul Gelisim University. The opening speech of the event made by Director of the School of Health Sciences Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdullah Yüksel Barut.

Seher Yılmaz, an expert audiologist and Speech Therapist who talked about the stages of educational evaluation in detail, emphasized the importance of cooperation with the family in the assessment of language and speech.

Expressing that the frequency of evaluation in auditory rehabilitation should be regulated depending on the changes on age, hearing loss, auditory perception and variability in performance and educational performance Expert Audiologist And Speech Therapist Seher Yılmaz emphasized that the weekly session plan in Auditory Verbal Therapy should have short and long term goals. Yılmaz also mentioned examples of structural verbal / oral therapy in his speech and ended his speech after doing questions and answers with students.

At the end of the event, a plaque of appreciation was presented to Seher Yılmaz for her contributions.
