Finalists of the 1st Culture and Art Documentaries Film Festival have been announced
The finalists of the 1st Culture and Art Documentaries Film Festival, which set out with the main theme of "Visual Thinking" and aim to create a new space among documentary film festivals with its feature of being the first in its field, have been announced.
In the festival, where 70 documentary films applied in approximately 1 month, 22 documentaries made it to the finals as a result of the evaluation of the selection committee, while 8 films were found worthy of being shown in the "special selection".
The opening of the festival, where the best in the categories of "Impressive Scenario / Story", "Successful Director", "Creative Editing" and "Original Production Design" will be awarded, will be held with the documentary "About Visual Thinking ... İpşiroğlu" directed by Ceyhan Kandemir. The award of the "Documentary Master Honor Awards" at the festival is seen as a moment of silence to the veterans of the documentary world.
The selection committee of the festival, coordinated by Prof. Dr. Ceyhan Kandemir, includes Asst. Prof. Dr. Özlem Arda, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sinem Tuna from Istanbul Gelişim University, Asst. Prof. Dr. Özlem Tuğçe Keleş, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ayar, Serap Belet Douillet, Sinan Akyüz and Görkem Katmer.
WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON FEBRUARY 21
The panel titles to be held during the festival where the award-winning documentaries will be announced on the evening of February 21 are as follows:
"The Importance of İpşiroğlu and Eyüboğlu Documentaries in the Journey of Visual Thought, Documentary Film Education at the Academy, From Blue Anatolian Thought in Turkish Documentary Cinema to Today."
