Game Jam Event at IGU Draws Significant Attention!

Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), in collaboration with TEKMER (IGU Technology Development Center) and Cim Games, successfully hosted the Game Jam event, bringing together students and young entrepreneurs passionate about gaming. The event provided participants with a platform to enhance their creative thinking and game development skills.

Hande Ceylan Dayan, TEKMER Manager at Istanbul Gelisim University, delivered a detailed presentation on the tax advantages and company establishment support offered by TEKMER for students and academics. She emphasized the importance of these opportunities in fostering entrepreneurial potential among students. Additionally, KOSGEB Expert Tolga Erkan shared insights on KOSGEB (Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization) support, guiding young entrepreneurs in securing financial backing for their projects.

As part of the event, participants will engage in a three-week training program focused on open-world and 3D game design. Competing teams will develop projects, with the best game earning official publication as a reward. Moreover, TEKMER will facilitate internship and job opportunities for university students.
