IGU scientists continue to stand out in national and international rankings!

Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) has been prominently featured in the "World's Most Influential Scientists" list compiled annually by Stanford University and in the rankings of "Top Scientists in the World and Countries" by Research.com, one of the leading research and academic portals globally. Additionally, in the "University Monitoring and Evaluation General Report-2023" prepared by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), IGU secured its success in the category of "Number of Publications Receiving Citations in the Top 10%". When considering universities' historical data, IGU emerged as one of the top three universities consistently showing improvement in this category.

Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), progressing with a contemporary, evolving, productive, and high-quality education approach, stands out through its emphasis on science, technology, and R&D endeavors. Evaluated across 74 different indicators among 208 universities in the "University Monitoring and Evaluation General Report-2023," IGU excelled in six areas, ranking among the top three universities showing improvement in the category of "Number of Publications Receiving Citations in the Top 10%." IGU's success, as recognized in Research.com's "Top Scientists" list and Stanford University's "World's Most Influential Scientists" list, has also been affirmed by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).

One of the most significant online academic portals for scientists, Research.com, included three academics from Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU) in its "Top Scientists" list. The list, prepared based on the work of scientists in their respective fields, considers criteria such as D-Index data, awards received by researchers, academic publications, and citation counts to formulate the rankings.
Istanbul Gelisim University's successful academics listed among the "Top Scientists" based on the D-Index, which measures scientific productivity, evaluation, and monitoring of scientists' performance, include:

Prof. Dr. Bahri Şahin, Rector of Istanbul Gelisim University, ranked 17th among 47 scientists from Turkey in the field of Engineering and Technology, and globally positioned at 4020th place.
 
 
In the "World's Most Influential Scientists" list, there are four academicians from Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU)

The "World's Most Influential Scientists" list compiled annually by Stanford University takes into account international criteria such as the impact factor of the journals where scientists' articles are published, the number of high-quality publications, citations received for their work, h-index, hm-index, the number of first-authored and single-authored papers, the number of cited articles, and the impact factor of the journals where the citing articles are published. This list is published in two categories: "Lifetime Impact" and "Annual Impact." In this list, four academics from Istanbul Gelişim University were featured.  In the "Lifetime Impact" list, IGU Rector Prof. Dr. Bahri Şahin maintained his position as a consistent figure among influential scientists. Additionally, Asst. Prof. Dr. Festus Victor Bekun from the Department of Logistics Management in the Faculty of Economics, Administrative, and Social Sciences (FEASS), and Prof. Dr. Ahmet Cihat Baytaş from the Department of Aeronautical Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture were also featured among the "World's Most Influential Scientists."  Moreover, in the "Annual Impact" category, Asst. Prof. Dr. Festus Victor Bekun from the Department of Logistics Management in FEASS and Asst. Prof. Dr. Edmund Ntom Udemba from the Department of International Trade and Finance in FEASS secured their places on the "World's Most Influential Scientists" list based on detailed criteria.
