International Conference on Economics, Finance and Management held in IGU

At the conference where the Central Bank offered financial support, national and international participants had the opportunity to assess the problems and to share their opinions and research with the local and global developments in the fields of economics, finance and business management. At the conference, one of the former Chairmans of the Capital Markets Board (CMB) Prof. Dr. Mehmet Şükrü Tekbaş and a faculty members of the Bristol Business School of the University of the West of England Dr. Hugo Gaggiotti, Mohammed Saad, Dr. Ximing Ruan, Cherif Guermat, and Sijia Wen made speeches.
 
A lot of papers such as "Value and Sustainable Finance", "Investigation of Information Presented in the Corporate Sustainability Report in Turkey", "Impact of Downsizing on the Innovation" were presented in national and international levels on the economy, finance and management offered by the local and foreign applicants.
 
Making statements on the conference Asst. Prof. Dr. Nalân Ece and Asst. Prof. Dr. Haşim Bağcı, in their study titled ‘Investigation of the Effect of Bitcoin on Euro-Dollar Prices’ aimed to determine whether Bitcoin, which is the most commonly used crypto coin that is frequently used on economic and financial agenda, has an effect on euro and dollar prices used as investment vehicle between 2010-2018.

In light of the analysis results, it found a long-term relationship between bitcoin prices and euro-dollar prices. In addition, according to the results of the analysis, it was concluded that bitcoin prices have affected euro prices.
