International Success from an IGU Academic: Best Paper Award from Bosnia and Herzegovina
Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Canakcıoglu, Head of the Department of E-Commerce and Management at the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Istanbul Gelisim University, received the “Best Paper Award” at an international conference held in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
A Major Achievement in the Field of Science
From November 5–8, 2025, the NEW HORIZONS 2025 – 10th International Scientific Conference of Transport and Communications, organized by the University of East Sarajevo, Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering, took place in Doboj, Bosnia and Herzegovina, bringing together numerous scholars from around the world.
Among the papers presented at this prestigious event, the study titled “Evaluating the Impact of Independent Auditing on the Sustainability Performance of Freight Transportation in a Type-2 Neutrosophic Fuzzy Environment,” co-authored by Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Çanakçıoğlu, was selected as the Best Paper of the Conference, marking a significant international success for Istanbul Gelisim University.
A Study Focused on Sustainability in the Transportation Sector
In his research, Assoc. Prof. Canakcıoglu analyzed how independent auditing processes can optimize sustainability performance in the transportation industry.
Standing out with its academic rigor, interdisciplinary approach, and data science–based methodology, the study was honored with the award by the international scientific committee for its scientific contribution, methodological innovation, and focus on sustainability.
