Abdulkadir Gayretli, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Istanbul Gelisim University, made statements before the award ceremony. Abdulkadir Gayretli pointed out that media awards are of great importance to them, and said: “We bring the students together with the media veterans. These names are very important to the students to be an idol. Especially in the years to come, we will be in unity and solidarity with these veterans and we will do more than we can for the qualified generations”.

“WE HAVE LISTENED TO THE PRESIDENT’S CALL”

The vehicle developed by the academicians of Istanbul Gelisim University was exhibited at the ceremony. Stating that they have developed this vehicle upon President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's ‘Is there a brave man’ call, Gayretli said:  “6 years ago, the our President asked "Is there a brave man who will produce domestic cars?". And we said, “We must be that men”, we took steps. Firstly, 5 years ago we produced our domestic car which worked 100 percent in electricity. Innovation, artificial intelligence are mentioned. Gelisim University continues its activities in this field.”

THE BEST NEWS AGENCY AWARD TO DHA

Demirören News Agency won the ‘Best News Agency’ award at the 8th Media Awards, which was determined by the votes of 25 thousand students. Demirören News Agency Reporter Ilknur Sargut received the award. Sargut in her gratitude speech after receiving the award, said: “As Demirören News Agency, I would like to thank you very much for this award. I have this award on behalf of all my friends working hard in Turkey's various regions to produce news”.
At the ceremony, Best Television Channel Star TV, Best News Channel NTV, Best Sports Channel beIN SPORTS, Best News Release Star Haber, Best Woman Newscaster Nazlı Çelik, Best Male Newscaster Cem Öğretir, Best Male Pop Music Artist Emre Kaya, Best Song Emre Kaya – ‘Nasıl Diye Sorma’, Best Fantasy Music Artist Ebru Yaşar, Best Music Group Zakkum, Best Series “Back Streets” (Arka Sokaklar), Best Actress Nursel Köse, Best News Program ‘İbrahim Güneş İle Doğrusu Ne?’ Best Health Reporter, Dilşad Dede Taşkın, Best Sports Reporter Murat Türker, Best Show Journalist Ali Eyüboğlu, Best Sports Program Beyaz Futbol-Ertem Şener, Best Daytime Program ‘Sweet Hard with Müge Anlı’ (Müge Anlı ile Tatlı Sert), Best Female Sports Presenter Seyhan Şaşko were awarded.

The Best Man Sports Speaker award was given to Ertem Şener at the ceremony. The Best Magazine Program award was given to 2nd page with Müge And Gülşen. The Best Daytime Program Award was given to ‘A new day with Çağla’ (Çağla İle Yeni Bir Gün), The Best Night Program Award was given to ‘There Are Talks With Mesut Yar’ (Mesut Yar İle Laf Çok), Other awards are as follows: Best Food Program - Pazardayız, Best Newspaper - Sabah, Best Radio - Alem Fm, Best Journal - Economist. Diler Saraç, Ferdi Atuner, Şahin Özer and Çoşkun Sabah were given Award of Honor at the ceremony.
