Many investors, academicians and students visited the booth of the EcoGrow project developed by the IGU AgroBits team on the 3rd day of TEKNOFEST. Minister of Technology and Industry Mehmet Fatih Kacır visited the Istanbul Gelisim University booth and received information about the EcoGrow project.
TEKNOFEST 2024, one of the largest technology competitions in the world, will be held in 46 main categories and 117 subcategories this year. Participants from primary school to university, graduates and professionals participated in the competition finals held at Antalya Anfaş International Fair and Congress Center on September 5-8. The names who successfully complete the last stage of the competition will receive their awards on the main stage of TEKNOFEST Adana.
Istanbul Gelisim University TEKNOFEST team AgroBits consists of Lect. İzzet Yavuz and IGU students Kaan Irmak and İrem Türkyılmaz. They have been attracted great attention by competing with the ‘EcoGrow’ project in the field of ’Agricultural Technologies'. With the EcoGrow project, the AgroBits team achieved a great success as one of the 38 finalists.
Investors operating in the fields of software, agriculture and robotics and companies interested in agricultural technologies showed special interest in the EcoGrow project. Groups of high school and university students also gained information by examining the project. Throughout the process, IGU Vice Rector Prof. Arda Öztürkcan and TTO Manager Yahya Kemal Kıran took part in TEKNOFEST to support the team.
