Indicating that botox is actually a snake poison, Dr. Ahmet Bekin said that botox paralyzes muscles and like all drugs, when used in the appropriate dose, can be healing. Stating that the feeling of satiety with botox applied to the stomach will last longer and weight will be lost faster, Bekin added:  “Stomach botox can be applied to anyone who wants to lose weight. It would be useful even in people who have previous obesity surgery and regained weight. This procedure should not be applied only to people with severe gastritis or ulcers in the stomach and people with a disease that prevents endoscopy”.

In statements related to nutrition after gastric Botox Dietitian Tuğce Özer said:
 
“To be successful in stomach botox nutrition rules must be followed. When stomach muscle cannot perform, food can stay in the stomach for a long time. Normally, carbohydrates can be discharged within 2 - 3 hours or 4 hours, with 4 - 4.5 hours when taken together with proteins. Stomach botox slows gastric emptying and allows the secretion of ghrelin hormone. This makes the person feel more intense for longer.”
 
Emphasizing the need of nutrition after the botox treatment according to a diet program prepared by the dietitian, Özer said: " a long process of treatment accompanied by a doctor, a dietitian, a psychologist will provide healthier results."
 
At the end of the event held in IGU Gelisim Tower, Dr. Ahmet Bekin and Dietitian Tuğçe Özer were presented a plaque of appreciation on behalf of Istanbul Gelisim University for their participation.
