“Every student can enroll in any department they want”

Additional preferences for the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) start on September 20 and end on September 23. The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Abdulkadir Gayretli said, “Every student can easily study the department they want with double major, minor and lateral transfer opportunities.”

OSYM President Prof. Dr. Halis Aygün announced that the 2021-YKS additional placement applications will be received between 20-23 September. After completing the registration process for higher education programs, the vacant quotas were reported to OSYM by the universities. Additional placements will be made based on this quota.

Stating that students should not be worried if they are placed in the departments they do not want to study in the additional placement, Abdulkadir Gayretli said, "Every student can easily study the department they want with double major, minor and lateral transfer opportunities."
