Finalist of the 4th Cosmetic Short Film Competition: “Kadın Eli” (Female Wonder) Documentary
The documentary "Female Wonder", which was prepared with the support of Istanbul Gelisim University Faculty of Fine Arts and aims to make the labor and sustainable entrepreneurship of women in agricultural production visible, was shortlisted for the Cosmetics Short Film Competition.
The documentary "Female Wonder", directed by Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Faculty of Fine Arts (GSF), Department of Communication and Design Lecturer Ahmet Bikiç, entered the top seven among more than 1000 film projects and became a finalist. The documentary, which brings to the screen the inspiring stories of women entrepreneurs living in Iğdır from production to economy, reflects the active role of women workers in sustainability. The documentary, which was shot with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey, the Ministry of Commerce of the Republic of Turkey, the Tuzluca Hardworking Women's Initiative Production and Business Cooperative and IGU GSF, will bring together the entrepreneurial stories of pioneering women in agricultural production in the countryside.

Iğdır's Women Entrepreneurs Held Under The Miscroscope
In the documentary, which was shot in Iğdır, a city with a microclimate, the stories of women involved in agricultural activities were handled with great care. The processes of bringing products such as dried apricots, jams, pickles, and marmalades into the economy were explained in detail. In the documentary, which deals with the position of women in agricultural structures, their work in production and the value they add to the production process in a multifaceted way, it is aimed that the stories of women who aim at economic development in agricultural production will inspire future generations and contribute to the increase of women's entrepreneurship in rural areas.
"We Aim to Be Hope for All Working Women"
-Lect. Ahmet Bikiç conveyed the starting point and meaning of the Female Wonder documentary with the following words:
“In this documentary, we wanted to trace not only organic production, but also labor, great effort and love for the soil and the invisible contributions of women in production processes. In this production, blended with thousands of years of tradition, I wanted to show that women are not only producers; they are also bearers of hope. It was the main motivation of the documentary to make visible their silent power, the connection they established with nature and the value they added to the future."
Emphasizing that the process was carried out with a collective effort, Lecturer Bikiç concluded his words as follows: "I would like to express my sincere thanks to my esteemed teammates who worked devotedly in the emergence of the Female Wonder documentary and to Istanbul Gelisim University Faculty of Fine Arts, who believed in and supported the project. This documentary is not only a visual narrative; it is also a reflection of labor, solidarity and hope for the future.”
Priority is Given to Works That Support Sustainability!
With the projects carried out within the Faculty of Fine Arts of Istanbul Gelisim University, film projects with more natural content, supporting sustainability and high environmental awareness are supported as a priority. The Female Wonder documentary, which made its name in the final of the 4th Cosmetics Short Film Competition and made its name in the first seven, is an example of the university's efforts to make sustainable production and women's labor visible.
