Zomm's short film, directed by Muhammet Emir Akarslan, a student of Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, received a new selection.
Muhammet Emir Akarslan, a 4th-year student of the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, won selection at the 8th DEA Open Air International Film Festival, which was held this year, with his short film Zomm's, which he directed.
Zomm's project, for which department students Onur Karakuş, Muhammet Emir Akarslan, Mert Hakan, Bedia Zerin Hökenek and Ahmet Serkan Aldüz wrote the script together, the director of photography was Onur Karakuş, and the assistant director was Bedia Zerin Hökenek, was selected for the Lift Off Global Network selection by DEA. He also had the chance to meet the audience at the Open Air International Film Festival. Students of the department, who carry out successful teamwork, have made a name for themselves with successful projects in the past years.
