IGU Students Won The Prestige Award at TEKNOFEST 2025

Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Software Engineering Department senior students achieved another significant success at TEKNOFEST 2025 with AgroSense, a farmer assistant supported by artificial intelligence (FilizAI). The team, which reached the finals in the Agricultural Technologies category, was awarded the Prestige Award under the "Starred Topics" designation.

IoT and Artificial Intelligence Integrated

The team, composed of Kaan Irmak, Ecem Tan, Süleyman Emre Aytaç, and Ahmet Karpuz, presented an innovative solution in the field of agriculture with the AgroSense project they developed under the guidance of their supervisor Yahya Kemal Kıran. The system, which integrates Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, processes soil data, environmental parameters, and field analyses to provide farmers with data-driven decision support.
AgroSense, the product of intensive and disciplined work sustained throughout the semester, received high marks from the competition jury in terms of technical competence, originality, and applicability. As finalists in the Agricultural Technologies category, the team crowned their success with the special Prestige Award presented under the "Starred Topics" designation.

Strong Representation by Young Engineers

This achievement by young engineers at the graduation stage at TEKNOFEST 2025 contributed to the university's technology development vision while also serving as a strong reference for the future of innovative solutions developed in the field of agricultural technologies.
