Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Faculty of Fine Arts, Radio, Television and Cinema Department Research Assistant Eda Turkay was awarded a special prize in the 8th Education Themed Short Film Competition with her short film Aç Açına.
The 8th Education Themed Short Film Competition, where important projects in the field of cinema are rewarded, Aç Açına stood out with its original narrative and impressive structure and was found worthy of a special award by the jury. Produced by Res. Asst.Eda Türkay and directed by Ahmet Toğaç, the film continues its successful festival journey in 2025 after taking part in many festivals throughout 2024.
Ahmet Toğaç, the director of the film, participated in the award ceremony of the competition, which focuses on education-themed productions, held in Antalya. While a total of five projects were awarded in the competition, Aç Açına received a special award and achieved a significant success.
Eda Türkay, Research Assistant of the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, has taken successful steps in the cinema world. Her team plan to continue the festival process in the coming period with this award they have received with the film Aç Açına.
