Strategic Meeting at Gelisim University Technology Center

Gelisim University Technology Center (TEKMER) hosted a critical visit as part of an important project developed in the field of health technologies. The project, conducted in collaboration between CİM Games Software and Technology Inc., one of the companies operating within TEKMER, and Trinogate, aims to bring an innovative dimension to the healthcare sector. As part of the project, Istanbul Gelişim University Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Abdülkadir Gayretli, visited the Technology Center. The visit, hosted by TEKMER, was also attended by Asst. Prof. Orhan Çömlek, the project lead, as well as Mehmet Atmaca, Chairman of the Board of Atmaca Holding. During the visit, project details were examined on-site, and the potential for collaboration between the university and industrial organizations was evaluated.

Emphasis on University-Industry Collaboration

During the meeting, participants exchanged ideas specifically regarding the ongoing project and emphasized the importance of aligning R&D-based academic studies with industry. Discussions also addressed the transferability of products developed in the health technology field to practical applications, and the synergy that could be created through partnerships with the private sector.

Scientific Production with a Focus on Social Contribution

Istanbul Gelisim University continues to host such visits and expand its collaborations as part of its strategic efforts to ensure that scientific research contributes to society. IGU TEKMER aims to launch broader joint projects with industry representatives in the near future.
