Visit to Gökçeada District Governorship within the scope of "Ada Kokusu" documentary

A visit was made to Gökçeada District Governor Mr. Nurbaki Yalçın within the scope of the "Ada Kokusu" documentary project carried out by Istanbul Gelisim University. Director of the documentary and Deputy Head of Public Relations and Promotion Department of Istanbul Gelisim University Lect. Ahmet Bikic informed District Governor Yalçın about the project process.

During the interview, evaluations were made on the content of the documentary, the shooting process and the gala event planned when it was completed. At the same time, ideas were exchanged between Istanbul Gelisim University and Gökçeada District Governorship for future collaborations.

During the visit, projects related to the development of cultural and social studies, especially career workshops for prospective students, were also on the agenda. Both sides drew attention to the importance of joint events that will highlight the natural and cultural values of the island.

Lect. Ahmet Bikiç stated, "Gökçeada, with its natural structure and cultural richness, is not only a documentary space, but also offers an inspiring life model. With the documentary ‘Ada Kokusu’, we not only tell about sustainable living, but also aim to offer young people and viewers a different perspective. I believe that this contact with Gökçeada District Governorship will lead to much more comprehensive projects in the future."

The documentary, which focuses on Gökçeada's unique nature and local life, is expected to create an important awareness about both environmental awareness and local development.
