With the decision numbered 8785 dated 01/08/2024 regarding the establishment, closure and changing the names of faculties, institutes and colleges affiliated to certain higher education institutions, which was published in the Official Gazette with the signature of the President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Istanbul Gelisim University School of Physical Education and Sports was transformed into the “Faculty of Sports Sciences”. With the addition of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, the number of faculties at IGU increased to 7.
