2025 Academic Board Meeting of Istanbul Gelisim University Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences Held

The 2025 Academic Board Meeting of the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences (FEASS) at Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) was held on December 4 at the Mehmet Akif Ersoy Conference Hall, with the participation of IGU Rector Prof. Bahri Şahin, IGU FEASS Dean Prof. Kenan Aydın, and all administrative units. The meeting addressed important agenda items, including the evaluation of the current state of the faculty, the determination of future goals, and the strengthening of academic processes.

Rector Prof. Bahri Şahin Shared His Insights and Recommendations with Academic Units

In his speech, IGU Rector Prof. Bahri Şahin listened to and evaluated the questions, requests, and suggestions of the academic staff. Emphasizing the importance of ongoing efforts to enhance the university’s educational quality, Prof. Şahin noted that the active participation of academic personnel in these processes is crucial for the university’s development.

 

Dean Prof. Kenan Aydın Provided a General Evaluation of the Faculty

IGU FEASS Dean Prof. Kenan Aydın presented a comprehensive assessment of the faculty’s recent activities, educational processes, and academic structuring. Prof. Aydın highlighted the importance of effective and harmonious collaboration among academic units and provided insights into the work carried out in line with the faculty’s institutional goals.

 

2025 General Assessment and Academic Performance Results Presented

Associate deans delivered the 2025 general evaluation, discussing the faculty’s academic performance, ongoing research activities, and developments in administrative processes. Academic publications, performance outputs, and key success indicators within the faculty were also shared in detail with participants.
 
 

Targets and Improvement Plans for 2026 Announced

The meeting outlined the faculty’s 2026 targets, which will shape its future vision. Planned improvements aimed at enhancing the quality of educational activities, supporting research projects, and increasing efficiency in administrative processes were presented to attendees.

 

Certificates of Appreciation Presented to Academicians Completing Their 10th Year

At the conclusion of the meeting, Certificates of Appreciation were presented to Istanbul Gelisim University academicians who completed their 10th year of service within the faculty. The special presentation received significant applause, recognizing the contributions of these faculty members.
