A Gown Wearing Ceremony was held for the students of the Faculty of Health Sciences Department of Occupational Therapy!

The Department of Occupational Therapy of the Faculty of Health Sciences organized an gown-wearing ceremony for fourth-grade students. Istanbul Gelisim University Vice Rector Prof. Necmettin Maraşlı, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Rıfat Mutuş, Head of Occupational Therapy Department Asst. Prof. Çağıl Ertürk gave a speech.

At the ceremony, which started with a stance of respect and the National Anthem, the opening speech was made by Vice Rector in charge of R&D Prof. Necmettin Maraşlı. Stating that the gown wearing ceremony was a first for the Faculty of Health Sciences, Prof. Necmettin Maraşlı also added that the ceremony was the first step of the gown wearing ceremonies to be held for other departments of the Faculty of Health Sciences. Prof. Maraşlı wished students success throughout their professional lives.



Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Rıfat Mutuş stated that the white gown is a symbol of health and cleanliness. Prof.  Rıfat Mutuş ended his words by saying "Do not regret any sacrifice you will make for human health."



Head of Occupational Therapy Department  Asst. Prof. Çağıl Ertürk said, "You will not only heal your patients' bodies, but also their hearts." and congratulated the students who participated in the ceremony. After the speech of a student who graduated from IGU Occupational Therapy department in 2022, IGU Vice Rector Prof. Necmettin Maraşlı congratulated highest ranked student of the semester. Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof.  Rıfat Mutuş, Head of Occupational Therapy Department Asst. Prof. Çağıl Ertürk dressed the students in their gowns. The ceremony, which was attended by the families of the students, ended after the photo shoot of academicians and students.
