"Group Early Intervention Skills Training in Mass Trauma", organized by Istanbul Gelisim University Psychology Application and Research Center in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports Psychosocial Support Services Department and UNICEF, started in Ankara on February 15. The training, which is carried out under the coordination of Assoc. Prof. Alişan Burak Yaşar, will continue until February 21.
The training program for the staff of the Ministry of Youth and Sports aims to improve the intervention skills of professionals working with groups exposed to mass traumas such as disasters and crises. Within the scope of the program, effective group intervention methods in psychosocial support processes are discussed. Participants receive comprehensive training on managing group dynamics in times of crisis, increasing psychological resilience, and applying early intervention techniques.
The training aims to strengthen the skills of professionals who will contribute to the healing process of the society after mass traumas. It increases the knowledge and skills of experts working in the field of psychosocial support, allowing them to intervene more effectively in times of crisis. The program, which is scheduled to be completed on February 21, is an important model for future studies in similar fields.
