IGU attended the 2024 YÖKAK International Quality Assurance and Accreditation Conference

Istanbul Gelisim University Rector Prof. Dr. Bahri Şahin, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Arda Öztürkcan, Quality Coordinator Prof. Dr. Hasan Hakan Bozkurt and Quality Coordinatorship attended the "2024 YÖKAK International Quality Assurance and Accreditation Conference" organized by the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK).

At the 2024 YÖKAK International Quality Assurance and Accreditation Conference, which lasted two days on 25-26 April 2024, in which Istanbul Gelisim University also participated, AQAS General Manager Doris Hermann and AQAS Senior Advisor and International Relations Commissioner Ronny Heintze informed the universities with their speech about the accreditation process. At the conference, sessions titled "Internalization and Improvement of Quality in Higher Education", 'Quality Assurance Practices and Problems', 'Effects of Quality Assurance', 'Examples of Good Practice in Quality Assurance' and 'The Future of Quality Assurance' were held.

The opening speech of the "2024 YÖKAK International Quality Assurance and Accreditation Conference" held at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University Itri Conference Hall was made by the President of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, and the President of the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK), Prof. Dr. Ümit Kocabıçak. President of the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA) Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Şeker and Rector of Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University Prof. Dr. Mehmet Naci Bostancı also spoke at the conference. At the conference attended by the Rectors of all universities in Türkiye, 37 universities received their YÖKAK Institutional Accreditation certificates with a ceremony.

Advancing with the vision of a "World University", Istanbul Gelisim University ranked first in 2023 as the university with the highest number of accredited undergraduate programs in the "University Monitoring and Evaluation General Report-2023" prepared by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). Istanbul Gelisim University, which has 65 internationally accredited programs and is taking firm steps towards internationalization, continues to offer world-class education and practice opportunities to its students.
