IGU hosted the “Miss&Mr Down +1 Fashion Show”!

“Miss&Mr Down +1 Fashion Show” was organized by the students of Istanbul Gelisim University School of Physical Education and Sports, Department of Exercise and Sports Sciences for the Disabled.

Standing out with its social awareness and social responsibility projects, Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) hosted the Miss&Mr Down +1 Fashion Show with "Let's walk together" slogan. The event was organized by the students of Exercise and Sports Sciences for the Disabled, who aim to enable disabled people to socialize through exercise and sports, to increase the awareness of responsibility towards disabled people and to increase awareness of social realities by collaborating with the society. The Miss&Mr Down +1 Fashion Show, which was held under the main sponsorship of a famous clothing company, was attended by 35 children with Down Syndrome from different age groups, their families, and the Bağcılar Municipality Down Syndrome Football Team, who received training at Bağcılar Municipality Disabled People's Palace and Gaziosmanpaşa Municipality Disabled Life and Solidarity Center.

Istanbul Youth and Sports Directorate, Disabled Individuals Sports and Education Association and Blackbird firm, which designs special clothes for disabled individuals, were among the institutions that supported the organization.
