Istanbul Gelisim University, which is taking firm steps towards‘ internationalization ’, has become one of the few members of IAESTE, which provides intern student exchange worldwide. Thanks to IAESTE, which allows for mutual exchange of trainee students, students from IGU will gain international working experience.
Türkiye joined IAESTE in 1955. It was founded in 1948 with the initiatives of 10 countries at Imperial College in London. IGU, which is a member of the internship exchange program International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE), which includes more than 100 countries and is a member of a number of universities in Türkiye, has added a new one to its activities with the vision of ‘World University’. Making it easier for students to participate in international scientific studies, IAESTE provides internship opportunities around the world, especially in engineering and technical fields.
IGU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Arda Öztürkcan talked about the accreditation studies carried out by Istanbul Gelisim University in order for students to receive education freely without having to limit their dreams. Prof. Dr. Arda Öztürkcan also added, "In addition to the comprehensive trainings we provide within IGU, we also care about our students' gaining international working experience. We are the first in Türkiye with 65 accredited departments. We bring our students together with the whole world on the way to internationalization."
Students with IGU will be able to gain international working experience
IGU students will be able to work as interns and experience different cultures in many countries such as Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Japan, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States within the scope of the IAESTE project. Thanks to IAESTE, experienced and qualified students from all over the world will come together at IGU.

In addition to learning the working principles and projects of different countries, students will be able to improve themselves socially. Successful students studying at Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) can return to the country as internationally qualified employees by working as interns abroad, while interns from abroad will also acquire quality working principles with IGU.
