Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Greenwich University, one of Pakistan's leading higher education institutions, in line with its goal of strengthening international academic cooperation. The agreement aims to cover cooperation in various areas such as student and staff exchange, joint projects and research activities.
The signing ceremony was hosted by Istanbul Gelisim University and senior representatives from both universities came together. Vice-Chancellor Ms. Seema Mughal, Provost Dr. Naveed Ahmed Mughal, Quality Assurance Director Dr. Rab Nawaz and International Connections Director Mr. Nazir Ahmed Khodabux attended to the ceremony. Rector Prof. Bahri Şahin, Vice Rectors Prof. Arda Öztürkcan and Prof. Necmettin Maraşlı, International Exchange and Cooperation Office Coordinator Alisa Usubova, Assistant Specialist Emir Çetinberk and Specialist Aleyna Doğan represented Istanbul Gelisim University.
During the ceremony, student and academic staff exchange programs, joint research projects and cooperation in the field of quality assurance in education were discussed. Within the scope of the agreement, it is aimed to encourage innovative research between the two universities and to implement interdisciplinary projects.

Vice-Chancellor of the University of Greenwich Ms. Seema Mughal emphasized the vision of strengthening global connections and providing students with transformative learning experiences. It was stated that this cooperation will be an important gain for both universities by offering academic and cultural enrichment opportunities.
In addition to creating a strong bond between the two universities, the agreement has the potential to create new opportunities in the field of international education and research. Student and staff exchange programs are planned to start next academic year. This partnership is considered as an indication of the commitment to build cultural and academic bridges between the two countries through education.
