Students organized a technical visit to the newspaper

A technical visit was made to Cumhuriyet Newspaper and Cumhuriyet Books Publishing by Presidency of Printing and Broadcasting Technologies Program of Gelişim Vocational School. The visit organized within the scope of the Professional Practices course was guided by Cumhuriyet Books Officer Journalist Çağdaş Bayraktar.

The students who started to visit the Cumhuriyet Newspaper Museum received information about the establishment and history of the newspaper. Then, they had the opportunity to see from the process of creation of the news, through which units it passed from the process of creation until the printing stage by interviewing responsible employees and on-site by question-answer. In the visit where all news services were visited General Editor-in-Chief Aykut Küçükkaya met with students and answered questions.

Lect. Gamze Gezginci presented a plaque of appreciation to Aykut Küçükkaya on behalf of Istanbul Gelisim University. At the end of the Technical Trip, in the museum students were presented gifts name holders printed in the Linotype Printing machine invented in 1884 and brought to our country in 1928 and operating publishing for Cumhuriyet newspaper until 1984.
