Sustainability themed Youth Project from IGU

As the first step of the 2023-2-TR01-KA154-You-000168129 KA154 Erasmus Youth Project, which is carried out in partnership with Istanbul Gelisim University and Afyonkarahisar DIY Workshop, the "Waste Collection and Nature Walk" event was held. The aim of the event, which was held on 19 May 2024 in Büyükçekmece Abo Bayram Park to raise awareness of environmental protection and beautification, is to raise awareness about the sustainable environment by involving young people in the decision-making process.

Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), which stands out with its sustainability studies, has planned a web page, seminar, good waste management examples, competitions and workshops in order to raise awareness among young people by implementing practices within the framework of sustainable environmental theme within the scope of the project. The event, where awareness-raising seminars on environmental cleaning were held, attracted great attention by young people.
 
Young people who become aware within the scope of the event will create digital open source content on sustainable environment. Within the scope of the event, which is planned to increase the digital competencies and media literacy of young people and their capacity to participate in democratic life; visits will be made to decision-makers and museums for young people and managers to come together.
