University students' exhibition can be visited in virtual environment

The students of the University carried their art exhibitions, which they regularly open every year, to the virtual environment this year. Expressing that they had to move their exhibitions to the virtual environment due to the coronavirus epidemic that affected the world, Lect. Student exhibitions, which are opened every year in the corridors of the Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Faculty of Fine Arts, have been moved to the virtual environment this year. Lect. İrem Fulya Özkan, who led the digital typographic poster exhibitions named “History of Writing” and “Experimental Alphabet” organized among the projects of the students of Typography I, Typography III, Typography Applications and Experimental Typography, spoke about the exhibition.

Stating that with the group exhibition consisting of the projects of the students of the Graphic Design Department, the different habits that the pandemic brought to people's lives came to the fore, Lect. Stating that the student projects exhibitions held every year produce works that gain innovation with the changing world this year, Abdülkadir Gayretli, Chairman of IGU Board of Trustees, said: “Everyone needs development. We wish to raise a generation that has proven itself in art and design in the world and has a say.”
