LIVING SCIENCES AND BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING APPLICATION AND RESEARCH CENTER
IGU YBMUAM
Istanbul Development University Life Science and Biomedical Engineering Application and Research Center established under the affiliation of İstanbul Gelişim University; aims to be a center for interdisciplinary bridging by combining the clinical experience of life sciences with engineering applications, especially biomedical.
Mission
Our Center undertakes the tasks of providing cooperation with the national and international organizations working on life sciences and biomedical engineering researches, making scientific publications in the research areas of the center and supporting the studies being carried out in these centers and giving lectures and seminars in related fields.
Vision
The project aims to collaborate with the department and department branches of the university in relation to the research topics of the center and to develop scientific projects related to these fields both in Turkey and abroad by creating projects and contributing to ongoing projects.
FIRST PART
Purpose, Scope, Basis and Definitions
Goal
ARTICLE 1 - (1) The purpose of this Regulation; Organizing the procedures and principles regarding the aims, activities, organs, organs of the Istanbul Life Sciences and Life Sciences and Biomedical Engineering Application and Research Center established by İstanbul Gelişim University.
Scope
ARTICLE 2 - (1) This Regulation shall be amended as follows: Istanbul Developmental University Life Sciences and Biomedical Engineering Application and Research Center covers the aims, bodies, functions of the organs and working style.
Rest
ARTICLE 3 - (1) This Regulation has been prepared on the basis of the subsection (2) and Article 14 of the first paragraph (d) of the Article 7 of the Higher Education Law dated 4/11/1981 and numbered 2547.
Definitions
ARTICLE 4 - (1) In this Regulation;
a) Specialized groups: Personnel who will operate according to their areas of expertise in their work,
b) Center: Istanbul Development University Life Sciences and Biomedical Engineering Application and Research Center,
c) Director: Head of the Center,
ç) Rector: Rector of Istanbul Development University,
d) University: İstanbul Gelişim University,
e) Board of Directors: The Board of Directors of the Center,
SECOND PART
Objectives and Areas of Activity of the Center
Center goals
ARTICLE 5 - (1) The objectives of the Center are:
a) To develop new knowledge, make inventions and get patents by building a bridge between clinical engineering, biomedical engineering and life sciences and engineering and sciences to improve human health.
b) To collaborate with the departments and departments of the University related to the research of the center, to carry out scientific studies in the academic sense about these fields at home and abroad, to form projects and to participate in the ongoing projects.
c) To make scientific publications in the research areas of the center and to support the studies carried out in these subjects.
d) To provide lectures and seminars related to the Center at the undergraduate and graduate level in universities.
d) Organizing courses, seminars, congresses and symposiums at the national and international level in the research areas of the Center.
e) To create an archive consisting of books, journals, projects and publications in order to facilitate the follow-up of various scientific studies and new developments related to researches on life sciences and biomedical engineering and to share these developments and to publish journals in this field in university.
f) To cooperate with national and international organizations working on the subjects of life sciences and biomedical engineering researches.
g) At first, Istanbul University Development, including detecting and solutions to problems that can be solved in the healthcare industry operating in various provinces in Turkey to produce and publish the results.
ğ) To present the scientific studies which include the models and solutions and their contributions inspired by the life sciences to the problems that may be encountered in different disciplines.
h) Providing academic consultancy services and information on national and international clinical and biomedical engineering.
ı) To create a sub-structure which will give quality and accreditation documents to the hospitals and to be a member of international organizations in this field.
Areas of activity of the Center
ARTICLE 6 - (1) The activities of the Center are:
a) To conduct theoretical and applied research on life sciences and biomedical engineering research.
b) To understand the mathematical principles underlying the life sciences, to develop mathematical models inspired by these principles and to apply them to different scientific fields and to create new algorithms based on these models.
c) To carry out interdisciplinary researches on life sciences and biomedical engineering researches, to create specialized groups and to direct and encourage these groups to TÜBİTAK, European Union projects and other projects in the field of health.
d) Cooperating with national and international centers operating in the fields of life sciences, clinical and biomedical engineering research.
d) To prepare or participate in national and international projects related to the subject.
e) To solve the problems faced in the direction of clinical engineering and to provide solutions to increase productivity in hospitals, to develop more reliable and less costly methods which are not invasive, to diagnose and minimize medical errors in treatment, to minimize the diagnosis and treatment period, side effects that devices can cause in the patient to produce and disseminate as much lifting solutions as possible.
f) Encouraging and directing the studies to be carried out with the life sciences, clinical and biomedical engineering researches at the undergraduate and graduate levels and to involve the students in the undergraduate and graduate programs related to the subject.

THIRD PART
Center's Organs and Tasks
Organs of the Center
ARTICLE 7 - (1) The organs of the center are:
a) Principal.
b) The Board of Directors.
c) Specialization groups.

ARTICLE 8 - (1) Director; The university is commissioned by the Rector for three years, among the members of the monthly and continuing education faculty. The Director may be reassigned after the expiration. The manager is removed from the office by the procedure he is assigned.
(2) One person may be appointed as the Assistant Principal by the Rector on the proposal of the Headmaster, among the instructors related to the Center's field of study. The Deputy Director acts as the Deputy when he is not in office. If the deputy is over six months old, the new Director is appointed.
Mission tasks
ARTICLE 9 - (1) Responsibilities of the Mission are:
a) Represent the Center.
b) Presiding over the Board of Directors.
c) To take necessary measures regarding the regular and effective execution and supervision of the central activities.
d) To make the appointments required by the Center's work.
d) Presenting a report on the general status and functioning of the Center at the end of each academic year and upon request, after receiving the opinion of the Executive Board.
(2) The Director is primarily responsible for the conduct of the Center's activities on a regular basis, for the oversight and supervision of all activities of the Center, and for its conclusion.
Board of Directors
ARTICLE 10 - (1) Board of Directors; The Director consists of five deputies, three of whom are selected by the University Executive Board from among the six nominees recommended by the Rector, among the faculty members of the University and the related faculty members.
(2) The term of office of members of the Board of Directors is three years. Members who finish the course may be recruited. New members are assigned to complete the remaining period of time, or to replace the members who have left the company for more than three months. Board of Directors; Upon his / her invitation, he / she shall meet with a simple majority at least once a month and decisions shall be taken by majority vote.
Duties of the board
ARTICLE 11 - (1) The duties of the Executive Board are:
a) To prepare and implement plans and programs related to the Center's work.
b) To prepare the investment, plan and budget plan of the Center and to submit the Rectors for approval.
c) Evaluating the wishes of education, practice, research, service production and publishing and making suggestions.
d) To establish temporary specialist groups related to the activities of the Center when necessary and to regulate their duties.
d) To make a decision by assessing the issues that the Mission Center will bring about.
Specialization groups and duties
ARTICLE 12 - (1) The number of specialization groups, establishment and working subjects shall be determined by the Board of Directors. These groups can be staffed on full time or when and when needed. The establishment and working methods of the groups are determined within the framework of the principles prepared by the Board of Directors.
(2) The task of specialized groups; To carry out the projects according to the areas of expertise of the Center's activities.
SECTION FOUR
Miscellaneous and Final Provisions
Need for staff
ARTICLE 13 - (1) The academic, technical and administrative staff needs of the Center shall be covered by the personnel to be appointed by the Rector in accordance with Article 13 of the 2547 numbered Law.
The cases where there are no provisions in the regulation
ARTICLE 14 - (1) In cases where there is no provision in this Regulation, provisions of other related legislation and decisions of the Senate shall apply.
Force
ARTICLE 15 - (1) This Regulation shall enter into force on the date of its publication.
Executive
ARTICLE 16 - (1) The provisions of this Regulation are executed by the Rector of Istanbul Development University.

CONTENT: Prof. Dr. Erdal Karaöz under the title of "Current Stem Cell Applications from Laboratory to Clinical Clinic" focuses on current research topics and technology and technology in use in our country regarding cellular therapy, stem cell, person specific gene therapy. He gave information about validation techniques by referring to isolation, purification, screening, replication methods for stem cell treatment. He and his team shared examples and results of successful implementation in our country.
Asst. Assoc. Dr. Ali Akpek has talked about the successful results obtained with the researches of surface coating and ventilation in the operating room, which are made in this area in our country under the heading of "Artificial Organ Biofabrication" and also shared information about the various organs that have been produced in the laboratory environment especially in the heart valve.

CONTENT: While aware of the importance of protection from cancer and cancer, Lösev Club's social responsibility projects were also informed.
Lösev General Coordinator Mr. Hülya Ünver expressed the 20 year old adventure of LÖSEV and the cancer in young people was sensitive.
Uz Dr Selime Aydogdu made a presentation on "Childhood Cancers" and explained to all attendees the importance of recognizing the symptoms of cancer and the importance of passing your child over to the doctor in the slightest doubt.
Dyt Gözdenur Çavuş made a presentation on '' Nutrition in Childhood Cancers '', while the child's Oncology Service also shared his comments on the profession's satisfactory performance and called on the dietician candidates to go to this area.
Uz Psk Güliz Altınbaşak shared his tips on understanding the psychological direction of cancer and giving a step to a more aware half-time with his presentation on "Psychology of the Patient's Relatives".
