Academic Performance Awards found their winners! IGU's top 5 has been announced

As a result of the evaluations made according to the Istanbul Gelisim University Academic Performance Evaluation Process Management System, the Rector of Istanbul Gelisim University and also the academician of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Prof. Dr. Bahri Şahin, are among the top 5 names in the General Ranking. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Festus Victor Bekun from the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences ranked first. Prof. Dr. Nuri Kuruoğlu, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anıl Niş and Dr. Metin Mehmetoğlu, who also ranked in the top 5 at the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, also received the General Ranking awards.

Awards and certificates of achievement were presented to the Academic Staff who ranked highest in the General Ranking and Unit-Based Ranking according to the 2023 Academic Performance Evaluation System (APSİS) of Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) at the ceremony with the participation of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees Abdulkadir Gayretli and Rector Prof. Dr. Bahri Şahin.

The ceremony started with the opening speech of Istanbul Gelisim University Rector Prof. Dr. Bahri Şahin. Rector Prof. Dr. Bahri Şahin talked about the Academic Performance Evaluation System used for the first time this year and said that faculty members are evaluated in 3 different categories: 'Education-Teaching', 'Research-Development' and 'Management'. Rector Prof. Dr. Bahri Şahin continued his words as follow: “Each of you makes our university proud with the outstanding performance and determination you show in your field. Your academic achievements are promising not only for you but also for the valuable students you educate for the future.”
Following the speech of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Abdulkadir Gayretli, in which he emphasized the importance given to science and research by Istanbul Gelisim University, which progresses with the vision of 'Research University', the academicians were invited to the stage one by one to receive their awards.
