IGU is among the top 10 foundation universities in many categories!

Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), advancing with the vision of "World University", continues to add to its successes with its sustainability-oriented and innovative vision. In the "Foundation Higher Education Institutions 2021" report published by Council of Higher Education (YÖK), IGU left many foundation higher education institutions behind and ranked in the top 10 in many categories.

The "Foundation Higher Education Institutions 2021" report, which is prepared with the aim of raising awareness on various topics in terms of relevant institutions, revealing areas of improvement and providing data for the development of higher education policies and legislative arrangements, has been announced. Istanbul Gelisim University left many foundation higher education institutions behind and ranked 3rd in the category of "Number of Students Per Staffed Instructor" and ranked 7th in the "Number of Students Per Staffed Faculty Member".

Having achieved successful results in different categories, IGU;

Ranked 3rd in the category of "Number of Students Per Staffed Instructor",
Ranked 7th in the "Number of Students Per Staffed Faculty Member",
Ranked 9th in the "Foundation Higher Education Institutions according to the Number of Printed Books in their Libraries"
Ranked 9th in the "Library Area" category with 8,425 m2,
Ranked 24th in the "Total of R&D and Library Expenditures".

Ahmet Şenol Armağan, Head of IGU Library and Documentation Department stated the followng: “In our university, which has 5 libraries, these numbers have increased even more in 2022. By the end of 2022, around 155,000 printed and 410 thousand electronic resources are available to library users. 22 databases containing millions of electronic articles and theses are open to users 24/7 without interruption. Database subscriptions are also increasing every year. We also have an outstanding collection of thousands of CDs, DVDs and audio cassettes in our library.”
