Interest in the exhibition attracting attention to waste grows

Interest in the photography exhibition opened by university students in order to draw attention to waste and to raise awareness on excessive and unnecessary consumption, is increasing.

Opened under supervision of Lecturers Tolgahan Tabak and İbrahim Levent Demirçakmak and Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) School of Applied Sciences (UBYO) Department of Gastronomy students a photo exhibition titled 'IGU don’t waste' after the increasing interest lecturer Tolgahan Tabak and Gastronomy student Elis Mutlu were invited to the TRT1 Radio.

The exhibition, which was followed by the public and private institutions and welcomed in the university campuses, was presented to the visitors in Istanbul Halk Ekmek (İHE) Cebeci factory. The works were welcomed by the factory employees. UBYO Gastronomy Department Res. Asst. Oğuzhan Köklü and the group of students Ayşenur Tevrüz, Pelin Demir and Erkan Geven visited the factory to inform IHE staff about their exhibitions and objectives.

UBYO Head of Gastronomy Department Asst. Prof. İsmail Hakkı Tekiner expressed his appreciation for the dissemination of awareness and congratulated the students.
