Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sevinç Koçak, Vice Dean of Istanbul Gelisim University Faculty of Applied Sciences, visited Tekirdağ on Wednesday, May 8, with the organization prepared under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Kamil Kaya, Dean of Istanbul Gelisim University Faculty of Applied Sciences, and met with Tekirdağ Provincial Director of National Education Ersan Ulusan. Projects planned to be carried out on the principle of lifelong learning, which supports Istanbul Gelisim University's understanding of community service and sustainability, and collaborations with the Directorate of National Education were discussed.
Ideas were exchanged about the seminar programs planned to be developed, and the processes of signing a cooperation protocol regarding the training and seminars in question were evaluated. The delegation visited Tekirdağ Süleyman Paşa District Director of National Education Ebubekir Atilla and received information about the work of the students who received outstanding success and awards in the high schools in the district.

Prof. Dr. Şebnem Gürsoy Ulusoy, Head of New Media and Communication Department, attended the conference titled "Effective Communication and Artificial Intelligence" organized by the Western Thrace Journalists Association as speakers.
The promotional video of Istanbul Gelisim University was shown at the opening of the conference, which was held under the leadership of Trakya Türk TV Editor-in-Chief Yaşar Polat. Information was given about IGU and the Faculty of Applied Sciences, which is a pioneer in the development, sustainability and community service.
“We will experience this transformation together”
At the conference, participants mostly asked questions about how artificial intelligence will transform professions in the future. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sevinç Koçak gave examples from the past and said, "We will experience this transformation together, we can see what the future will be like with examples from the past." Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sevinç Koçak stated the adventure of technology coming to the present day, starting from the use of typewriters, and that just as humanity has adapted to every subject, it will also adapt to the new era expected to take place with artificial intelligence.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şebnem Gürsoy Ulusoy, on the other hand, stated: “We are now talking about beyond technology. In the 21st century, we are in a period where mutual learning continues constantly. We are also facing a period when digital immigrants begin to learn a lot of information from digital natives.” Steps were planned to be taken to repeat the conference, where the participants felt more conscious, particularly about the fear of artificial intelligence, for a wider audience.
